RIL Announces Jio GigaFiber for 1100 cities, Registration From 15 August - Here’s How To Get Jio GigaFiber

Reliance Jio has rolled out new announcements in its 41st Annual General Meeting on Thursday by its chairman Mukesh Ambani including a new broadband service Jio GigaFiber. Along with this, they have some other major announcements too. Along with Jio GigaFiber Jio has launched Jio GigaTV and whole new version of their feature phone Jio Phone 2.

GigaFiber will be launched in 1,100 cities across India. The cities with the maximum number of Jio registration will first get GigaFiber. It will be extended to homes, merchants, small & medium enterprises along with large enterprises.

Jio Giga Fiber is an FTTH- (Fiber-to-the-home) broadband service that aims to deliver services to mobile devices.

It will work on TVs as well with the help of GigaTV set-top box and smart home devices. Also, GigaTv comes with a smart remote which supports voice commands.

The subscriber will experience an ultra-high definition screen with 4K resolution.

With this feature, you will be to make phone calls to other TVs, phones, tablets etc on Jio GigaFiber networks. It will also allow users to do video calling once camera accessory is added.

Reliance claims to give speed up to 1Gbps.

Jio GigaFiber will have its own router called Jio Giga Router aims to bring internet directly to your subscriber’s home.

Jio users will also have an option to navigate their Jio Tv Programming using voice navigation.

Free Installation: Jio offers a free installation and will not charge their customers for installation. However, buyers may need to pay a security deposit which is not yet confirmed.

The company has not yet revealed the details so far. It is expected that the details about Tariff and Plans will be disclosed when the registration date is near.
The registration will start from 15th of August from MyJio app and Jio.com. So “Make sure you register your interest and more importantly make sure that your neighbours register so that your locality will be among the first to get it,” said Ambani.
With an introduction of GigaFiber, it is considered as a game changer in the field of the telecom sector. Reliance aims to increase their consumer numbers by 100 million by the end of 2019.
